These interchangeable HEADS are made of hardened steel, solid brass and aluminium. Each of these heads is capable of clamping almost any hook size but the ideal size for each head is:
- Medium: universal head, can be used on all hook sizes (ideal for hooks ranging from 1 to 24)
- Streamer: specific head, designed for the realization of streamers on large hooks (ideal for hooks ranging from 1 to 8)
- Midge: specific head, designed for the construction of very small flies (ideal for hooks ranging from 14 to 24)
The Midge has been specifically designed to tie artificial flies on very small hooks, in fact, its small size, thanks to its tapered shape, greatly facilitates movements during fly tying.
Replacing a HEAD is very simple, just loosen the inner ring nut, remove the HEAD from the fork and replace it with the most suitable HEAD for the type of artificial you want to tie. The hook is fixed by rotating the external ring nut that locks the jaws of the clamp.
These HEADS are specific for the Pocket model and cannot be mounted on the Standard, Deluxe and T-Rex models.
