The MINI FLY TOOL from Hotfly is a practical little helper that allows you to always have the most important accessories at hand. The short lanyard is made of a plasticized metal wire that you can quickly and easily attach anywhere on your wading equipment with the help of a screw cap.
The MINI FLY TOOL KIT is already equipped with different accessories. So you will find an Amadou for quick drying of your fully soaked dry flies. Simply place the wet fly between the two halves of the Amadou and press them together several times with little pressure. The Amadou removes the moisture from the fly, restoring it to full buoyancy.
In addition, you will also find a pad for cleaning your fly line on the equipment tape. By applying a few drops of line cleaner and pulling the fly line through the compressed pads, you remove the dirt, and the fly line glides through the rod rings better again. This way you cast more effortlessly, and you extend the life of your fly line. With the third enclosed pad you stretch your leaders if they should be curled due to the memory effect. To do this, pull your leader through the pads with a little tension until they are stretched nice and straight. You control the tension on the monofilament by applying pressure to the pads.
In addition, two metal carabiners are already attached to the MINI FLY TOOL KIT, as well as two plastic hangers, to which you can attach other accessories such as a line clip, leader dispenser or hook plier.
The screw cap also gives you the option of looping other accessories directly into the MINI FLY TOOL KIT, so you can create your very own short lanyard that is completely customized to your individual needs.
